Arrests

  • A suspect was in custody pending charges of attempted assault on a law-enforcement officer at 1701 Lacey St.
  • Galen L. Osborne, 25, 1964 Big Bend Road, was arrested at 1126 N. Sprigg St. on a Cape Girardeau warrant for failure to appear for driving while revoked.
  • Ashley N. Lomax, 32, of Oran, Missouri, was arrested at 1126 N. Sprigg St. on a Cape Girardeau County warrant for fraud and insufficient funds.
  • Travis J. Moore, 43, 3806 Valley View Drive, was arrested at Interstate 55 and Otter Lane on a Cape Girardeau County warrant for burglary and on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and tampering with evidence.
  • Hubert R. Bell, 39, was arrested at Jefferson and Henderson avenues on suspicion of making false declarations.
  • Christopher D. Petty, 24, no address given, was arrested on suspicion of assault and property damage.

Summons

  • Justin K. Poe, no age given, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, was issued a summons for failure to yield at Siemers Drive and Lambert Drive.

Thefts

  • Stealing and forgery were reported at 1451 Whitener St.
  • Books and credit cards were reported stolen at 516 Washington Ave.

Property damage

  • Damage to a vehicle was reported at 3253 William St.

Miscellaneous

  • A 21-year-old man was taken into protective custody.
  • A 37-year-old man was taken into protective custody.
  • An unattended death was reported.
  • Unlawful use of a weapon was reported in the 600 block of Locust Street.
