DWI

  • Heather Moore, no age given, of Cape Girardeau was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated, possession of a controlled substance and driving the wrong direction on a highway.

Arrests

  • A suspect was in custody pending formal charges of property damage and possession of a controlled substance.
  • A suspect was in custody pending formal charges of stealing/trespassing at Wal-Mart, 3439 William St.
  • A suspect was in custody pending formal charges of assault.
  • Two suspects were in custody pending formal charges of tampering with a motor vehicle and a being a visibly intoxicated minor.
  • William T. Hazel, 28, of Cape Girardeau was arrested on a probation and parole warrant for probation violation.

Summonses

  • Daniel D. Pieper, no age given, of Cape Girardeau was issued a summons for striking a legally stopped vehicle.
  • Nyala D. Mosley, 17, of Cape Girardeau was issued a summons for shoplifting at 3049 William St. and was cited into juvenile court.
  • Tish L. Anderson, 24, of Cairo, Illinois, was issued a summons for shoplifting at 3049 William St.
  • Keith D. Moon, 25, of Cape Girardeau was issued a summons for shoplifting at 3049 William St.
  • Heather S. Fetters, 38, of Sikeston, Missouri was issued a summons for shoplifting at J.C. Penney.

Assault

  • Domestic assault was reported.

Thefts

  • A cellphone was reported stolen at 64 S. Plaza Way.
  • A diaper bag and wallet were reported stolen at 2705 Plymouth Drive.
  • Theft from a motor vehicle was reported at 205 S. Plaza Way.
  • A camera and lens were reported stolen at 1080 S. Silver Springs Road.
  • Stealing was reported at Macy's.

Property damage

  • Property damage was reported at 2838 Independence St.
  • Property damage was reported at Johnson Street and Big Bend Road.

Miscellaneous

  • Failure to return leased property was reported at 740 S. Kingshighway.
  • Counterfeiting was reported at 407 Morgan Oak St.
  • A 55-year-old man was placed in protective custody.
  • Counterfeiting was reported at 10 S. West End Blvd.
  • Tampering with a motor vehicle was reported at 1721 Cape Meadows Circle.
  • Receiving stolen property was reported at 777 Main St.
  • A curfew violation, false declaration and resisting arrest were reported at 2115 William St.
  • Violation of an order of protection and harassment were reported.

The Cape Girardeau County Sheriff's Department released the following items. Arrests do not imply guilt.

  • Grevil P. Chavez, 38, of Cape Girardeau was arrested on suspicion of operating a motor vehicle without valid insurance, failure to register a motor vehicle and having no insurance.
  • Vesteen Taylor Jr., 43, of Sikeston, Missouri, was arrested on a Ste. Genevieve County warrant for nonsupport.
  • John E. Pfister, 33, of Steele, Missouri, was arrested on suspicion of driving while suspended.
  • Steven L. Stratton, 32, of Madison, Illinois, was arrested on suspicion of domestic assault.
  • Robert E. Krerowicz, 33, of Jackson was arrested on suspicion of driving while revoked.
  • David P. Rains, 33, of Cape Girardeau was arrested on suspicion of violating an order of protection and property damage.
  • Denesha D. Walton, 27, of Cape Girardeau was arrested on a Cape Girardeau County warrant for failure to appear for stealing.
  • Steven L. McCormick Jr., 29, of Jackson was arrested on suspicion of domestic assault, unlawful use of a firearm and peace disturbance.
  • Steven L. McCormick Sr., 56, of Jackson was arrested on suspicion of unlawful use of a firearm.
  • Deja R. Wadlow, 34, of Jackson was arrested on suspicion of driving while suspended.
