The Cape Girardeau Police Department released the following items. Arrests do not imply guilt.

Arrests

* A suspect was in custody pending formal charges of possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute.

* James H. Powell Jr., 48, 21 S. Henderson Ave., Apt. 2, was arrested on a Cape Girardeau County warrant for failure to appear.

* Joseph M. Austin, 34, of Sturdivant, Mo., was arrested on three Cape Girardeau County warrants for failure to appear for no insurance, suspended driver's license and improper registration.

* Kristy M. Swain, 28, 2813 Whitener St., Apt. C2, was arrested on a Cape Girardeau County warrant for driving while revoked.

Summonses

* Tori L. Degginger, 20, 1551 Amblewood Drive, was issued a summons for shoplifting at Wal-Mart, 3439 William St.

* Daniel L. Jordan, no age given, of Marble Hill, Mo., was issued a summons for following too close and driving an unlicensed vehicle.

* Adam B. Muser, no age given, 605 Boxwood Drive, No. 3, was issued a summons for improper registration and no proof of insurance.

* Domestic assault was reported.

* Assault, burglary, robbery and property damage were reported at 537 Albert St.

* Assault was reported.

Thefts

* Prescription drugs were reported stolen at 210 S. Hanover St.

* Attempted theft was reported at 724 Themis St.

* Theft of services was reported at 519 S. Pacific St.

* Theft was reported at 105 Clark Ave.

* A 1999 gold Chrysler 300M was reported stolen at 212 S. Lorimier St.

Miscellaneous

* A peace disturbance was reported at 1404 Lexington Ave.

* A 50-year-old woman was taken into protective custody.
