The Cape Girardeau Police Department released the following items. Arrests do not imply guilt.

Arrests

  • Cecile E. Thompson, 22 of De Soto, Missouri, was arrested on a Cape Girardeau warrant for failure to appear, a Cape Girardeau County warrant for failure to appear and a Scott City warrant for failure to appear.
  • A suspect was in custody pending formal charges of violating an order of protection.
  • Katherine K. Sparks, 63, 45 S. West End Blvd., No. 408, was arrested on a Madison County, Illinois, warrant for arson.
  • A suspect was in custody pending formal charges of possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana, operating a motor vehicle in a careless and imprudent manner and leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident.
  • Christian L. Conley, 24, of Cape Girardeau was arrested on a Jefferson City warrant for probation violation.

Summonses

  • Timothy O. Lorenz, no age given, of Cape Girardeau was issued a summons for failure to yield.
  • Portia B. Harris, 22, of Cape Girardeau was issued a summons for stealing.

  • A Samsung tablet and purse were reported stolen at 212 S. Lorimier St.
  • A cellphone was reported stolen at 335 N. Kingshighway.
  • Burglary and theft of a computer were reported at 439 N. Sprigg St.
  • Theft, fraudulent use of a credit/debit device and property damage were reported.
  • Money was reported stolen at 2807 Hopper Road.
  • Theft was reported at 1113 N. Fountain St.
  • Theft of a generator was reported at 423 S. Frederick St.
  • A handbag was reported stolen at 401 Independence St.
  • A phone and wallet were reported stolen at 109 N. Henderson Ave.
  • A wallet was reported stolen at 201 S. Silver Springs Road.

Property damage

  • Property damage and theft of money were reported at 1989 Silverthorne Trail.

Miscellaneous

  • Possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana, operating a motor vehicle in a careless and imprudent manner and leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident was reported.
  • A 37-year-old man was taken into protective custody.
