The Cape Girardeau Police Department released the following items. Arrests do not imply guilt.

Arrests

* Suspects were in custody pending formal charges of possession of marijuana and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.

* A suspect was in custody pending formal charges for stealing at Wal-Mart, 3439 William St.

* Lavell M. Williams, 22, 125 N. Clark Ave., was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and operating an unlicensed vehicle.

* Cecil R. Sampson Jr., 32, of St. Louis was arrested on a Cape Girardeau warrant for failure to appear.

* Terrell A. Beasley, 26, 623 Sycamore Circle, Apt. 3, was arrested on two Cape Girardeau warrants for failure to appear.

* Benny J. Benavente Jr., 25, of Jackson was arrested on a Cape Girardeau warrant for failure to appear.

* Cory M. Haske, 18, 1340 Wayne St., was arrested on a Cape Girardeau warrant for failure to appear.

* Mickael E. Minner, 43, of Scott City was arrested on a federal warrant.

Summonses

* Lyndsay A. McNeely, no age given, of Jackson was issued a summons for striking a legally stopped vehicle.

* Christopher M. Snider, 34, 276 Misty Hollow Lane, was issued a summons for failure to maintain property free of litter.

Assaults

* Assault was reported at Broadway and Spanish Street.

Burglaries

* Burglary and theft of five gallons of gas and a can were reported at 1802 Rampart St.

* Burglary and theft of a window screen were reported at 543 Columbine Lane.

* Burglary was reported at 1419 Whitener St.

Thefts

* Stolen quarters and damage to a coin machine were reported at 2819 Whitener St.

* A bicycle was reported stolen at 1402 Perry Ave.

Miscellaneous

* A 57-year-old man was taken into protective custody.

* Failure to return to confinement was reported.

* A 48-year-old woman was taken into protective custody.
