Arrests

  • Marquia S. Williams, 21, 2830 Independence St., was arrested at Interstate 55 and Route K on a Howardville, Missouri, warrant for driving while suspended and no seat belt.
  • Mark S. Rhodes, 60, 629 North St., was arrested at 3463 Armstrong Drive on a Cape Girardeau warrant for no insurance.
  • Matthew J. Hale, 24, of Advance, Missouri, was arrested on two Cape Girardeau warrants for revoked license and a stop-sign violation.
  • Carl J. Thrasher, 20, of Kennett, Missouri, was arrested on a Cape Girardeau warrant for peace disturbance.
  • Michaela L. Bell, 18, 124 Lot Drive, was arrested at 401 Independence St. on a Scott City warrant for failure to appear.

Summonses

  • James E. King, 80, of Cape Girardeau was issued summonses for display of certain prohibited items, failure to maintain property free of litter, animal leash law required and animal city license required.
  • Brittany D. Purl, 41, of Cape Girardeau was issued a summons for failure to maintain private property free of litter.

Burglary

  • Burglary, tampering with a utility meter, resisting arrest, careless and imprudent driving and damage to a glass door were reported at 2037 Steven Drive.

  • Damage to paint on a vehicle was reported at 489 Kell Farm Drive.

Miscellaneous

  • Tampering with a vehicle was reported at Wal-Mart, 3439 William St.
  • Harassment to frighten or disturb another person was reported.

The Cape Girardeau County Sheriff's Department released the following items. Arrests do not imply guilt.

DWI

  • Danyelle L. Pate, 25, of Scott City was arrested on Route V on suspicion of driving while intoxicated and illegally operating an ATV within a stream or river.

Arrests

  • Christopher T. Laux, 41, of Delta was arrested on Route N on a St. Charles County, Missouri, warrant for probation violation and obstructing judge's orders.
  • Steel W. Moyers, 32, of Cape Girardeau was arrested on Christine Street on Cape Girardeau County warrants for failure to obey judge's orders, first-degree domestic assault and unlawful use of a weapon.
  • Jacquwlyn B. Swavel, 51, of Cape Girardeau was arrested on Christine Street on Cape Girardeau County warrants for probation violation, third-degree domestic assault, stealing and third-degree assault.
  • David D. Hull, 54, of Cape Girardeau was arrested on Route K on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and driving while suspended.
  • Jessica R. Smiley, 30, of Jackson was arrested on Arbor Circle on Cape Girardeau County warrants for failure to appear, failure to register a motor vehicle and failure to wear a seat belt.
  • Brittany L. Price, 26, of Whitewater was arrested at Heritage Heights and U.S. 61 on suspicion of receiving stolen property, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • Wesley D. Higginbotham Jr., 54, of New Hamburg, Missouri, was arrested on Christine Street on Cape Girardeau County warrants for a probation violation and receiving stolen property.
  • Lauren M. Story-Shumate, 29, of Cape Girardeau was arrested on County Road 206 on suspicion of second-degree domestic assault.
