The Cape Girardeau Police Department released the following items. Arrests do not imply guilt.
Arrests
* Douglas D. Nelson, 24, 720 Walnut St., was arrested on a Cape Girardeau warrant for a probation violation.
* A 21-year-old man was placed in custody pending charges of stealing and property damage.
* George L. Jones III, 21, of Portageville, Mo., was arrested on a Cape Girardeau County for burglary.

* Aubrey C. Gilmore, 18, 908 Kent St., Jackson, was arrested on suspicion of controlled substances and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.
* Steven W. Mayfield, 20, 7 East Rodney Drive Apt. A7, was arrested on suspicion of possession of controlled substances and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.
Assaults
* Second-degree assault was reported.
Property damage
* A vehicle was reported damaged at 306 Louis St.
