CAPE GIRARDEAU

The Cape Girardeau Police Department released the following items. Arrests do not imply guilt.

Arrests

• David E. Sorenson, 51, of Cape Girardeau was arrested on a Cape Girardeau County warrant for failure to appear for driving while suspended and failure to display plate.
• Tommy L.J. Tipler, 21, of Cape Girardeau was arrested on a Cape Girardeau warrant for failure to appear for assault.
• Herbert L. Marshall II, 32, of Cape Girardeau was arrested on a Cape Girardeau warrant for failure to appear for assault.
• Christopher L. Franklin, 28, of Jackson was arrested on a Cape Girardeau warrant for failure to appear for a traffic violation.
• A suspect was in custody pending formal charges of possession of a controlled substance.

Summonses

• Seretha J. Welch, no age given, of Carbondale, Illinois, was issued a summons for no proof of insurance.
• Donald L. Hunsaker, no age given, of Cape Girardeau was issued a summons for failure to secure load and no insurance.
• Jennifer L. Lowery, 31, of Scott City was issued a summons for shoplifting at 11 S. Kingshighway.

Miscellaneous

• A juvenile was placed in protective custody.
