The Cape Girardeau Fire Department responded to the following calls Wednesday:

• Medical assists were made at 1:32 a.m. on South West End Boulevard; 8 a.m. on Megan Drive; 8:18 a.m. on Saint Francis Drive; 8:30 a.m. on Surrey Lane; 11:14 a.m. on Delwin Street; 11:51 a.m. on David Street; and 12:33 p.m. on South Broadview Street.
• At 6:07 a.m., a good-intent call on South Kingshighway.
• At 7:12 a.m., a false alarm or false call on Rush H. Limbaugh Drive.
• At 9:44 a.m., excessive heat or scorch burns on Themis Street.
• At noon, emergency medical service on North Main Street.
• At 12:07 p.m., a good-intent call on South West End Boulevard.
• At 2:14 p.m., a vehicle fire on Interstate 55.
• At 2:33 p.m., a good-intent call on Park Place.
• At 3:27 p.m., a smoke-detector activation on Towers Circle.
• At 4:36 p.m., emergency medical service on Independence Street.
• At 6:09 p.m., a service call on Park Place.
• At 6:10 p.m., no incident found on arrival at South Plaza Way.
• At 6:23 p.m., a good-intent call on Independence Street.
