Cape Girardeau firefighters responded to the following calls Wednesday:

* At 3:36 a.m., a medical assist on North Henderson Avenue.

* At 8:07 a.m., a resident assist on Linden Street.

* At 1:17 p.m., an alarm system sounded on Nash Road.

* At 3:42 p.m., a medical assist on South Benton Street.

* At 5:49 p.m., a medical assist on South Pacific Street.

* At 9:43 p.m., a call on Independence Street.

* At 10:50 p.m., heat from a short circuit on Jefferson Avenue.
