The Cape Girardeau Fire Department responded to the following calls Monday:

• Medical assists at 1:45 a.m. on Hackberry Street; 7:52 a.m. on North West End Boulevard; 8:35 a.m. on Brenda Kay Court; 10:27 a.m. on South Mount Auburn Road; 11:58 a.m. on South Sprigg Street; 12:08 p.m. on North Park Avenue; 3:10 p.m. on South Sprigg Street; and 3:20 p.m. on North Sprigg Street.
• At 1:42 a.m., smoke detector activation, no fire, on Independence Street.
• At 5:33 a.m., a call on South Mount Auburn Road.
• At 7:46 a.m., a motor vehicle accident with injuries on Interstate 55.
• At 12:59 p.m., swift-water rescue on County Road 616.
• At 4:59 p.m., person in distress on Bloomfield Road.
• At 5:08 p.m., invalid assisted on Northwoods Court.
• At 5:32 p.m., a call on County Road 253.
• At 5:48 p.m., electrical wiring or equipment problem on Amethyst Street.
• At 7:14 p.m., a motor vehicle accident without injuries on Interstate 55.
