The Cape Girardeau Fire Department responded to the following calls Tuesday:
- Medical assists at 9:56 a.m. on South Sprigg Street; at 10:07 a.m. on Towers Circle; at 11:03 a.m. on Broadway; at 11:47 a.m. at Doctors' Park; at 3:35 p.m. on William Street; and at 5:20 p.m. on North Kingshighway.
- At 9:22 a.m., steam or other gas mistaken for smoke on Sturdivant Street.
- At 10:25 a.m., an alarm system sounded on North Lorimier Street
- At 11:59 a.m., a good-intent call William Street.
