Firefighters responded to the following calls Wednesday:

* At 8:28 a.m., an alarm sounding at 429 N. Frederick St.

* At 12:13 p.m., a medical assist in the 600 block of South West End Boulevard.

* At 2:31 p.m., a medical assist in the 700 block of South Ellis Street.

* At 1:35 p.m., a medical assist in the 3000 block of Benton Street.

* At 3:28 p.m., a line down at 424 S. Missouri Ave.
