Firefighters responded to the following calls Sunday:

* At 3:24 a.m., emergency medical service at the 1800 block of Perryville Road.

* At 8:31 a.m., emergency medical service at 1900 N. Kingshighway.

* At 12:16 p.m., emergency medical service at 600 S. Ellis St.

* At 12:22 p.m., emergency medical service at South Lorimier Street.

* At 1:28 p.m., emergency medical service at Cape Girardeau Central Swimming Pool.

* At 2:04 p.m., a rescue at Honkers Boat Dock.

* At 2:19 p.m., a grass fire at the intersection of North and Fountain streets.

* At 3:55 p.m., alarm sounding at Wal-Mart.
