PERKS, Ill. -- Bertha Lentz Betts, 94, of Perks died Thursday, Feb. 7, 2002, at the City Care Center in Anna, Ill.
She was born Nov. 27, 1907, at Perks, daughter of Charles and Ida Frauli Wilkerson. She and Harvey Lentz were married May 28, 1927. He died March 21, 1968. She later married Clyde Betts on April 2, 1975. He died July 12, 1981.
She was a lifelong member of Maple Grove Baptist Church in Perks, serving as a Sunday school teacher and treasurer for many years. She was a retired upholsterer.
Survivors include two daughters, Ida McGowan of Anna and Shirley Lentz of Phoenix, Ariz.; a son, Leon Lentz of Scottsdale, Ariz..; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Crain Funeral Home in Dongola and after noon Monday at Maple Grove Baptist Church in Perks.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the church, with the Rev. Verlee Eaker officiating. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery at Cypress, Ill.
