Advance man dies in traffic accident

An Advance, Mo., man has become the 68th fatality reported by the Missouri State Highway Patrol at Poplar Bluff, Mo.

James Green, 38, of Advance died Sunday afternoon from injuries received when his car failed to negotiate a turn and crossed the center line on Route O just east of Advance and struck another car nearly head-on.

Rodney Huffman, 39, of Benton, Mo., the driver of the other car was taken to Southeast Missouri Hospital with moderate injuries.

Pamela Nolan, 37, and Rodney Bradshaw, 34, both of Oran, Mo., and passengers in Green's car were taken to St. Francis Medical Center.

Nolan was air lifted and listed in serious critical condition. Bradshaw was listed in serious condition.

Green was taken to Rainey Funeral Home in Dexter, Mo.
