JACKSON, Mo. -- Graveside service for Helen L. Bowman of Jackson will be held at 10 a.m. today at Jackson City Cemetery. The Rev. Grant Gillard will officiate.

McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson is in charge of arrangements.

Bowman, 84, died Sunday, July 2, 2000, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Jan. 3, 1916, in Advance, daughter of Hinkle and Lillian Pape Bowman.

Bowman was a graduate of Central High School in Cape Girardeau, and attended Drury College in Springfield and Washington University in St. Louis.

She was an art instructor and gave private lessons in her home to children. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Jackson.
