Lesley Michele Young and Phillip Ryan Dormeyer were united in marriage June 12, 2010, at Francis Street First United Methodist Church in St. Joseph, Mo. Dr. Susan Ventura performed the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Kathleen Young of St. Joseph. The groom is the son of Katherine Davis of Jackson.
The bride was escorted by her grandfather, Ronald Swartz of St. Joseph.
Maid of honor was Hilary Morris of Kansas City, Mo. Matron of honor was Mitzi Evans of Jackson, sister of the groom. Bridesmaids were Allison Peaslee of Madison, Wis., Tiffany Burnes and Tara Anderson of St. Joseph.
Michael Siebert of Cape Girardeau served his brother as best man. Groomsmen were Mark Evans of Jackson, brother-in-law of the groom; Daniel and Travis Statler of Cape Girardeau; and Owen Griffin of Leawood, Kan. Ushers were Tryston Clemens of St. Joseph and Casey Diebold of Lake St. Louis, Mo., cousins of the bride and groom.
Ringbearers were Owen and Samuel Evans, sons of Mark and Mitzi Evans and nephews of the groom.
Guest book and program attendants were Madison Wiggins and Tiffany Oliver of Jackson. Madison is the daughter of Mark and Mitzi Evans and niece of the groom.
A dinner and dance reception was held at Mitchell Park Plaza in St. Joseph.
The groom's mother, and Carolyn and John Clemens of St. Joseph, aunt and uncle of the bride, hosted the rehearsal dinner June 11 in the outdoor gardens at the Clemens' home.
Mrs. Dormeyer received bachelor degrees in accounting and human industrial relations from Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. She received a juris doctorate from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law. She is a bankruptcy attorney with Moore Law Offices in Sikeston and Cape Girardeau.
The groom received a bachelor's degree in accounting from UMKC, and received a juris doctorate from the university's law school. He is a general practice attorney with the Statler Law Firm, LLC, in Cape Girardeau.
Following a Caribbean cruise, the couple is residing in Cape Girardeau.
