Kathy Xayarath and Marcus D. Painton were married Nov. 26, 2011, at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Commerce, Mo. The Rev. James E. Norris performed the ceremony. Reader was Michael Painton of Indianapolis, Ind., brother of the groom. Organist was Erica Hamilton of Cape Girardeau.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Vy Xayarath of Marble Hill, Mo. The groom is the son of Don and Rhonda Painton of Oran, Mo.

Maid of honor was Mary Xayarath of Marble Hill, sister of the bride.

Michael Painton was best man. Ushers were Brian Gilpin and Brian Bailey of Commerce.

Candlelighters were Cory and Cody Bailey, sons of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Bailey of Commerce.

Brian Bailey was guest book and program attendant.

The reception was held at Commerce Baptist Church Fellowship Hall, hosted by Mr. and Mrs. Bob Michael, grandparents of the groom. Servers were Donna Hindman, great-aunt of the groom; Sandra Grantham; Beth Friedrich, godmother of the groom; Cynthia Baker; Becky Petitt; Martha Kraft and Peggy Adams.

The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner Nov. 25 at St. Paul Fellowship Hall.

Mrs. Painton is a 2007 graduate of Meadow Heights High School, and 2011 graduate of Metro Business College. She is employed at Doctors Park.

The groom is a 2007 graduate of Bell City High School. He received a bachelor of science degree in mass communication, with emphasis in television and film from Southeast Missouri State University. He is a digital image specialist at Southeast.

A wedding trip is planned this summer.

The couple is residing in Cape Girardeau.
