Rachel Catherine Wright and Michael Alan Sheets were united in marriage April 12, 2008, in the Shrewsbury Ballroom at Shrewsbury, Mo. Rik Maxedon performed the ceremony. Pianist was Tim Depriest of Cape Girardeau.

The bride is the daughter of Robert and Judy Wright of Cape Girardeau. The groom is the son of Britt and Terry Sheets of Florissant, Mo.

Maid of honor was Robin Wright of Nashville, Tenn., sister of the bride. Matron of honor was Lara Cordiner of Aberdeen, Scotland. Bridesmaids were Chrissy Young of Springfield, Mo., and Stephanie Read of St. Louis.

Jeff Brockmeier of St. Louis was best man. Groomsmen were Chris Baker of St. Louis, Ryan Wagner of Columbia, Mo., and Chris Pedroley of St. Louis. Ushers were Adam Gates of St. Charles, Mo., John Downey of Springfield, Mo., and Jon Kenna of St. Louis.

Candlelighter was Erin Haycraft of Cape Girardeau.

Flower girls were Hannah and Mia Maxedon, and ringbearer was Cooper Maxedon, all of St. Louis.

Guest book attendants were Sarah Belcher of Cape Girardeau and Ashley Derby-Brockus of Wichita, Kan.

The reception was held in the ballroom.

The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner April 11 at Bartolino's.

Mrs. Sheets is a 2001 graduate of Central High School, and received a bachelor's degree in entertainment management from Missouri State University in 2005. She is employed in the Alumni and Development Department at Washington University in St. Louis.

The groom received a bachelor's degree in marketing from Missouri State. He is executive editor at Fanball.

After a wedding trip to Ocho Rios, Jamaica, the couple is residing in St. Louis.
