Emily Nicole Williams and Lance Thomas Young were married Dec. 15, 2012, at Lynwood Baptist Church. The Rev. Mark Anderson performed the ceremony. Pianist was Barry Stone, cellist was Jalen McDowell, violinists were Vikas Rudrappa and Nancy Monahan, and guitarist was Sanshiro Ishihara, all of Cape Girardeau. Vocalists were Mary Bauer and David Poole of Cape Girardeau.
The bride is the daughter of Teresa Williams and Steve and Theresa Williams of Cape Girardeau. The groom is the son of Tom and Carla Young of Cape Girardeau.
Maid of honor was Katherine Williams of Cape Girardeau, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Ashley Smith of Tampa, Fla., Katie Ogden of St. Louis, Alyssa Anderson of Belleville, Ill., and Logan Young of Cape Girardeau, sister of the groom.
Jeff Haberberger of St. Louis was best man. Groomsmen were Kurtis Cappel of Troy, Mo., Shea Brady of Orlando, Fla., John Yahl of St. Louis, and Andrew Williams of Cape Girardeau, brother of the bride. Ushers were Steven Campa of St. Louis; Matthew and Joshua Compas of Cape Girardeau, cousins of the bride; Derek Miller of Columbia, Ill.; and Matt Moehlenkamp of Florissant, Mo.
Candlelighters were Matthew and Joshua Compas.
The reception was held at Ray's Plaza Conference Center.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner Dec. 14 at Deerfield Lodge.
Mrs. Young is a 2007 graduate of Central High School. She received a bachelor of science degree in elementary education from Southeast Missouri State University in 2011. She is a fifth grade teacher at West Lane Elementary in Jackson.
The groom is a 2006 graduate of Central High School. He received a bachelor of science degree in management information systems from Southeast. He is an IT support assistant with RM Coco.
After a wedding trip to Riviera Maya, Mexico, the couple is residing in Cape Girardeau.
