Willenbring-Hughes

JACKSON, Mo. -- Julie Jo Willenbring and Sgt. Charles Aaron Hughes were united in marriage June 30, 2001, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Msgr. Edward Eftink performed the double ring ceremony. Organist was Jeff Overbey and vocalist and guitarist was Michael Hughes, father of the groom.

Giftbearers were Megan Engelen, niece of the bride; Randy Engelen and Brad Diebold, brothers-in-law of the bride. Communion servers were Marti Kelly and Joann Rothman, aunts of the bride, and Dick Giesen, uncle of the bride.

Parents of the bride are Jim and Toni Willenbring of Jackson. The groom is the son of Michael and Claire Hughes of Ridgeland, Miss., and Paula Garrard of Marion, N.C.

Judy Diebold of Jackson was her twin sister's matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Karen Engelen of Gordonville, Mo., sister of the bride, and Stacy Welter of Cape Girardeau.

The groom chose his twin brother, Grant Hughes of Learned, Miss., as best man. Groomsmen were Jason Hughes of Marion, brother of the groom; Jason Parker of Raymond, Miss., and Sam Yarbrough of Terry, Miss., stepbrother of the groom.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Elks Lodge in Jackson. Servers were Frances Willenbring and Carol L'Hote, aunts of the bride.

The groom's father and stepmother hosted the rehearsal dinner June 29 at the church fellowship hall.

The bride is a 1993 graduate of Notre Dame High School, and served four years in the U.S. Army. She is a security engineering technician at U.S. Embassies throughout the world.

The groom is a 1994 graduate of Central Hinds Academy in Raymond. He is a sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps, and is attending Northern Virginia Community College.

After a wedding trip to Koh Samui, Thailand, the couple resides in Alexandria, Va.
