Sarah Jane Wernsman and Colin Andrew Anderson were united in marriage Oct. 16, 2010, at the Jewel Box in Forest Park in St. Louis. The Rev. Judi Davis performed the ceremony. A scripture reading was given by Mark Wilson, uncle of the bride. Music was by Rosewood Ensemble string quartet, and soloist was Elise LaBarge.
The bride is the daughter of Steve and Jane Wernsman of Cape Girardeau. The groom is the son of Randy and Ronda Anderson of Granite City, Ill.
Matron of honor was Ashley Tanksley of Columbia, Mo., and maid of honor was Melissa Mueller of St. Louis. Bridesmaids were Megan Yamamoto of Gainesville, Va., cousin of the bride; Erica Kinnison of Denver, Colo.; Cody Anderson of Granite City, sister of the groom; Magin Chapman of Cape Girardeau; and Tasha Gaddy of Okatie, S.C.
The groom's attendants were Rebecca Pierce of Edwardsville, Ill., Blake Smith and John Katsafanas of St. Louis, Jason Tartt of Belleville, Ill., Mike Pennekamp and Ryan Meszaros of Granite City. Ushers were Thomas Anderson of Carlyle, Ill., Clark Wilson of Atlanta, Ga., Ethan Anderson of Hoffman, Ill., Paul Beckmeyer of Irvington, Ill., and Joe Wernsman of Kinmundy, Ill., all cousins of the bride.
Flower girls were Gillian Anderson and Meadow Pier. Ringbearer was Grayson Tartt. Gillian is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Anderson and cousin of the bride. Meadow is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Danny Pier of Lebanon, Ill. Grayson is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jason Tartt.
Guest book attendants were Kayla Wernsman of Centralia, Ill., Maria, Christi and Jenna Beckmeyer of Irvington, all cousins of the bride.
The reception was held at James S. McDonnell Planetarium at Forest Park in St. Louis.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner Oct. 14 at Dave and Buster's in St. Louis.
Mrs. Anderson is a graduate of Central High School, and received a bachelor of science degree in nursing from St. Louis University. She is a registered nurse in Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital in St. Louis.
The groom is a graduate of Granite City High School, and received a bachelor's degree in music business from Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville. He is an audio engineer in the music industry in the St. Louis area.
Following a wedding trip to the West Coast, the couple is residing in Collinsville, Ill.
