Jaime Michelle Welker and Bret Norman Keeven were united in marriage Aug. 16, 2002, at St. Paul Catholic Church in Highland, Ill. The Rev. Alphonse Hoernig performed the ceremony. Organist was Joan Schuetz, and soloists were Ben LeGrand of Cape Girardeau and Angie Parker of St. Louis.
Jerry and Charlotte Welker of Cape Girardeau are parents of the bride. The groom is the son of Kenneth and Deborah Keeven of Highland.
Maids of honor were Paula Welker of St. Louis and Janel Welker of Cape Girardeau, sisters of the bride. Bridesmaids were Jill Ostendorf of Dallas, Texas; Erin Hopfinger and Lori Keeven of Highland, sisters of the groom; Teri Black of St. Louis, and Ellen Gadberry of Austin, Texas.
Chad Keeven of St. Louis was his brother's best man. Groomsmen were Jeff Shafer of St. Louis; Chris Frey; Aaron Hopfinger,. brother-in-law of the groom; James Campbell, all of Highland; Vince Ko and Josh Prater of St. Louis.
Following the ceremony, the reception was held at Lindendale Park Ballroom in Highland.
Mrs. Keeven is a 1996 graduate of Notre Dame High School, and a 2000 graduate of Southwest Missouri State University. She is a programmer with SBC Services in St. Louis.
The groom is a 1996 graduate of Highland High School, and 2000 graduate of St. Louis University. He is a software developer at Foundry Software in St. Louis.
After a wedding trip to Kauai, Hawaii, the couple is residing in St. Louis.
