ADVANCE, Mo. -- Shelley Kay White and Matthew L. Keeney exchanged vows Sept. 23, 2000, at Bethel General Baptist Church in Advance. The Revs. Ray Placher and Fred Ritter performed the double ring ceremony. Pianist was Shirley Owens of Advance. Vocalists were Terry and Janet Robison of Advance and Jason Thomas of Malden, Mo.
Parents of the couple are Bill and Phyllis White of Advance, and Charles "Bo" and Janet Keeney of Van Buren, Mo.
Maid of honor was Jennifer Pape of Cape Girardeau, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Amanda Johnson of Cape Girardeau; Tara Hitt of Advance, cousin of the bride; and Julie Bagwell of Cape Girardeau. Junior bridesmaid was Kacie Ritter of Advance.
Jason Daniels of Springfield, Mo., served the groom as best man. Groomsmen were Chuck Keeney of Macks Creek, Mo., brother of the groom; Todd Ritter of Marble Hill, Mo.; and Travis Causey of Bloomfield, Mo. Junior groomsman was Jeremy Nall of Advance. Ushers were Tom Keeney, cousin of the groom; Pat Jackson, both of Van Buren, and Jeremy Nall.
Flower girl was Carrie-Francis Church of Springfield, cousin of the groom. Ringbearer was Andy Moats of St. Charles, Mo., cousin of the bride.
Candlelighters were Beth Shock of Westminster, Colo., and Taylor Shell of Advance, cousins of the bride.
Beth Shock also attended the guest book. Programs were handed out by Elizabeth Matthews of Charleston, Mo., cousin of the bride. Gift attendant was Jared Ritter of Advance.
Following the ceremony, a dinner was held in the church fellowship hall.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner Sept. 22 at Fiddler's Fish House in Dexter, Mo.
Mrs. Keeney is a 1997 graduate of Advance High School, and is majoring in elementary education at Southeast Missouri State University.
The groom is a 1992 graduate of Van Buren High School, and attended College of the Ozarks. He is a trooper with Missouri State Highway Patrol.
After a wedding trip to Cancun, Mexico, the couple resides in Marble Hill.
