BENTON, Mo. -- St. Denis Catholic Church was the setting Aug. 5, 2000, for the wedding of Wendy Susan Wade and Christopher Thomas Holt. The Rev. James Seyer performed the double ring ceremony. Pianist was Dana Lynch of Oran, Mo. Vocalists were Christy Hency and Aaron Robert of Benton.

Jim and Linda Wade of Benton are parents of the bride. The groom is the son of Terry and Debi Kitrel of Malden, Mo.

Maid of honor was Lori Short of Scott City, Mo., cousin of the bride. Bridesmaids were Natalie Robert, Rachel Elkins and Stacy Forck, all of Benton.

The groom chose his father as best man. Groomsmen were Steven Kitrel of Springfield, Mo., brother of the groom; Shannon Hoggard and Steve Maddox of Malden. Ushers were Jeremy Wade of Benton, brother of the bride, and Mitch Kitrel of Kansas, brother of the groom.

Candlelighters were mothers of the couple.

Reader was the bride's father.

Flower girls were Jamie and Jodie Russo, daughters of Paul and Jonell Russo of St. Louis and nieces of the groom. Ringbearer was Nicholas Holt, son of the groom.

Program attendant was Mindy Robert, daughter of David and Carla Robert of Benton.

Following the ceremony, the reception and dance was held at Ashley's inside Best Western in Sikeston, Mo.

The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner Aug. 4 at Mollie's Cafe and Bar in Cape Girardeau.

Mrs. Holt is a 1997 graduate of Thomas W. Kelly High School. She is employed at Jarvis Motor Co. in Sikeston.

The groom is a 1992 graduate of Malden High School. He is employed at Carriage Motor Cars in Malden.

After a wedding trip to Gulfport, Miss., the couple resides in Malden.
