Sandra Jo Temples and Darrell Robert Koenig were united in marriage Sept. 8, 2000, at Centenary United Methodist Church. Dr. Clayton L. Smith performed the double ring ceremony. Organist was Mary Miller and vocalist was Fawna Jones, both of Cape Girardeau. Reader was Mrs. Jon Daniel of Fredericktown, aunt of the bride.
Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Allen Temples of Dexter, Mo., are parents of the bride. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Koenig of Perryville, Mo.
Laurel Buxton of Daytona Beach, Fla., was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Michelle Redfearn of Cape Girardeau, Deidre Jewel of Charleston, Mo., and Tricia Zimmer of Cape Girardeau.
Best man was David Sudmeyer of Sedgewickville, Mo. Groomsmen were Mark Miller and Michael Shea of Cape Girardeau, and Lynn Koenig of Perryville, brother of the groom. Ushers were David Worley of Bloomfield, Mo., Matthew Worley of West Memphis, Ark., cousins of the bride; and Tyler Zimmer of Cape Girardeau.
Flower girl was Haley Emmendorfer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Emmendorfer of Perryville and niece of the groom. Ringbearer was Travis Koenig, son of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Koenig of Perryville and nephew of the groom.
Candlelighters were Tori Zimmer and Melanie Evans. Tori is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Don Zimmer of Cape Girardeau. Melanie is the daughter of Sharon Abel of Perryville and niece of the groom.
Melissa Beard of Dexter, cousin of the bride, attended the guest book. Gina Evans of Perryville, niece of the groom, handed out programs.
Following the ceremony, the reception was held at Drury Lodge.
Mr. and Mrs. Don Zimmer hosted the rehearsal dinner Sept. 7 at their home.
Mrs. Koenig is a 1988 graduate of Central High School, and 1996 graduate of the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. She is a sales associate at Finch Temples Marchbanks Insurance Agency.
The groom is a 1985 graduate of Perryville High School, and 1988 graduate of DeVry Institute in Kansas City, Mo. He is an electrician at M&W Packaging.
The couple resides in Jackson, Mo.
