JACKSON, Mo. -- Jodie Shelton and Adam Herman exchanged vows June 10, 2000, at Sanderling Inn Resort in Duck, N.C. Eugene McLawhorn performed the double ring ceremony. Guitarist and soloist was Chad Kuhnel of Winter Park, Colo. Readings were given by Robert Brown of Norfolk, Va., and Jeffrie Penrod of San Francisco, Calif.
The bride is the daughter of James D. and Mary Jo Shelton of Jackson. The groom is the son of Gene B. Herman of Berkeley, Calif., and Roslyn Brown of Norfolk.
David Herman of Albany, N.Y., brother of the groom, and Julie Ratz of Red Bud, Ill., sister of the bride, were the attendants.
Following the ceremony, a brunch and beach party was held at the resort.
A lawn party was hosted by Robert and Roslyn Brown following the rehearsal June 9.
Mrs. Herman is a graduate of Jackson High School. She is special assistant to the vice president of the western region for Starwood Vacation Ownership Inc. in Denver, Colo.
The groom is a graduate of Metropolitan State College in Denver. He is a geography and history teacher at Manteo High School in Manteo, N.C.
The couple is residing in Nags Head, N.C.
