THEBES, Ill. -- CaSaundra Angelo Prater and Justin William Kaufman exchanged vows Jan. 13, 2001, at First Pentecostal Church in Cape Girardeau. The Rev. Darrell Faire performed the ceremony. Pianist was Krystal McClain. Vocalists were Robert May, Sheila Faire and Debra McCain.

The bride is the daughter of Steve and Saundra Prater of Thebes. The groom is the son of Marilyn Kaufman of Cape Girardeau and William Eugene Kaufman of McClure, Ill.

Maid of honor was Michelle Robinson of St. Louis. Bridesmaids were Katie and Aaron Jackson of Olive Branch, Ill., Cydney Meadows of Tamms, Ill., and Amy Hale of Cape Girardeau. Junior bridesmaids were Brittney Simpson of Jackson, Mo., Sasha McCain of Olive Branch, LaDonna Faire of Jackson, Sierra Prater of Thebes, and Alexis Snelson of Cairo, Ill.

Stephen Prater of Thebes served the groom as best man. Groomsmen were Kirk McCain and Andrew Prater of Thebes, Curtis McRaney of Tamms, Ill., and Shawn Hale of Cape Girardeau. Junior groomsmen were Kirk Snelson of Cairo, Brett and Corde Boyd of McClure, Jonathan Simpson of Jackson, and Jon Snelson of Cairo. Ushers were Robert McCain Jr. of McClure and Kevin McCain Jr. of Cape Girardeau.

Flower girl was Alexis Hale of Cape Girardeau, and ringbearer was Nathan Coleson of East Cape Girardeau, Ill.

Candlelighters were Jerry Prater Jr. of Cairo and Kevin McCain Jr.

Following the ceremony, the reception was held in the church fellowship hall.

The couple resides in Thebes.
