WEDDINGS: MILLHAM-RUBEL

JACKSON, Mo. -- Immaculate Conception Catholic Church was the setting June 16, 2001, for the wedding of Michele Renee Millham and Matthew Scott Rubel. The Rev. J. Friedel performed the double ring ceremony. Organist was Geri Beussink of Jackson, and soloist was Mike Renick of Cape Girardeau.

Readers were Pat Bratton of Cape Girardeau, godmother of the bride, and Cindy Slinkard of Jackson, godmother of the groom. Giftbearers were Mike, Janet and Jordan Dannenmueller. Mike is the groom's godfather.

The bride is the daughter of Craig and Carla Millham of Jackson. The groom is the son of Robert and Bonnie Rubel of Cape Girardeau.

Maid of honor was Christa Millham of Jackson, sister of the bride. Matron of honor was Alisha Turley of Cape Girardeau. Bridesmaids were Lisa and Ashley Millham of Jackson, sisters of the bride; and Jodi Brace of Ste. Genevieve, Mo.

Greg Rubel of St. Charles, Mo., served his brother as best man. Groomsmen were Derek Lagemann of Wright City, Mo.; Jason and Mark Rubel of Cape Girardeau, brothers of the groom; and Tyler Brown of Ste. Genevieve. Ushers were Mike Lueckeman of San Jose, Calif., Mike Kirks of Milwaukee, Wis., Nathan Turley and Derek Fenwick of Cape Girardeau, and Dan Rakers of St. Louis.

Candlelighters were Nichole McCadams of Knoxville, Tenn., and Mindy Myers of Jackson.

Flower girl was Michaela Millham, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mark Millham of Kansas City, Kan., and cousin of the bride. Ringbearer was Zachary Beal, son of Mr. and Mrs. Brad Beal of Jackson and cousin of the groom.

Kelly Rubel, sister-in-law of the groom, attended the guest book. Program attendants were Amber Faircloth of Cape Girardeau and Erica Klein of Alton, Ill.

Following the ceremony, the dinner and dance was held at Bavarian Halle in Jackson. Servers were Pat Bratton, Elaine Beussink, Teresa Maurer, Bonnie Poythress and Suzie Vickery, all aunts of the bride.

The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner June 15 in the church fellowship hall.

Mrs. Rubel is a 1997 graduate of Jackson High School. She received a bachelor of science degree in exercise science from St. Louis University in 2001, and is pursuing a master's degree in physical therapy at the university.

The groom is a 1996 graduate of Notre Dame High School. He received a bachelor of science degree in physical therapy from Maryville University in St. Louis in 2000. He is a physical therapist at ProRehab in St. Louis.

After a wedding trip to Riviera Maya, Mexico, the couple resides in St. Louis.
