SCOTT CITY, Mo. -- Amanda Kathleen May and Charles Edward Klughart Jr. were married July 22, 2000, at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso, Mo. The Rev. M. Oliver Clavin performed the double ring ceremony. Organist was LeAnn Hendrix of Cape Girardeau. Soloists were Justin Braun and Donna Braun of Scott City, and Renee Reinagel of Kelso.
Eucharistic ministers were Ann Glueck and Marjorie Bollinger of Kelso, and Linda Johnston of Scott City. Readers were Lana Arnzen and Patrick Johnston of Scott City.
Parents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. James H. May Jr. of Scott City. The groom is the son of Charles E. Klughart Sr. of Atlanta, Ga., and the late Susan Jensen.
Angela Crook of Scott City was maid of honor, and Erica Stroup of Jacksonville, N.C., was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Sharlet Giltner of Brookport, Ill., sister of the bride; Lori Arnzen of Murray, Ky.; Paget Cook of Patton, Mo.; Stayci Dotson of Jackson, Mo.; and Rebecca Knudson of Kelso, sister of the groom.
The groom chose Russell Gadberry of Benton, Mo., as best man. Groomsmen were Jim May III of Cape Girardeau, brother of the bride; Johnathon Knudson of Kelso, brother of the groom; Dustin Brackett and Daniel Alvarado of Scott City; and Jeff Cook of Patton. Ushers were Roger Giltner of Brookport, brother-in-law of the bride, and Roger Giltner Jr. of Brookport, nephew of the bride.
Flower girl was Katelin May, daughter of Jim and Carrie May and niece of the bride. Ringbearer was Joshua Giltner, son of Roger and Sharlet Giltner and nephew of the bride.
Candlelighters were Amy Arteme of Benton and Jennifer Miller of St. Louis.
Tiffany Glueck of Kelso, cousin of the groom, attended the guest book.
Following the ceremony, the reception was held at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Scott City. Servers were Sandy Wendel of Fruitland, Mo., Tori Patterson of Oran, Mo., and Denise Stewart of Cape Girardeau.
The groom hosted the rehearsal dinner July 21 at the KC Hall.
Mrs. Klughart is a 1997 graduate of Scott City High School, and expects to receive a degree in business administration from Southeast Missouri State University in May. She is employed at Courtesy Cleaners in Cape Girardeau.
The groom is a 1995 graduate of Vandalia Community High School in Vandalia, Ill. He is owner of Klughart Service Co. in Scott City.
After a wedding trip to Playa del Carmen, Mexico, the couple resides in Scott City.
