CAIRO, Ill. -- Claire Ann Lafoon and Scott Lessley Watson were married April 15, 2000, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church. The Rev. Jerome Fortenberry performed the ceremony. Readers were Amanda Brantley of Paducah, Ky., and Dr. Sarah Aydt of Cape Girardeau, Mo.

The bride is the daughter of Willis and Lora Lafoon of Cairo. The groom is the son of Hazel Freeze of Cape Girardeau, and the late Ralph Watson of Cairo.

Matron of honor was Vicki Brantley of Paducah, sister of the bride.

Mike Kepner of Cape Girardeau, brother-in-law of the groom, was best man. Usher was Jim Keller of Jackson.

Flower girl was Ashley Brantley of Paducah.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Magnolia Manor.

The bride's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner April 14.

Mrs. Watson is employed at Community Counseling Center in Cape Girardeau.

The groom is employed by Cairo Police Department.

The couple resides in Cape Girardeau.
