LaGina Renee Ice and Kevin Vance McVay were married Sept. 16, 2000, at La Croix United Methodist Church. The Rev. Ron Watts performed the double ring ceremony. Pianist was Chris Nall, trumpeter was Dan Berry, and vocalists were Nall, Geoff Smith and Adrian True, all of Cape Girardeau.
The bride is the daughter of LaWanda Ice of Cape Girardeau, and the late Gene Ice. Harvey and Yvonne McVay of Jackson, Mo., are parents of the groom.
Geoff Smith escorted the bride.
Heather Clark of Marion, Ill., niece of the bride, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Kari Beussink of Cape Girardeau, Debbie Brodrick of Nashville, Tenn., Cicely Deimund of Cape Girardeau, Kelley Kelly of Paducah, Ky., Sendi Laird of Herrin, Ill., Melanie McVay of St. Louis, and Kelli Stigall of Marion. Junior bridesmaid was Cody Cameron of Marion, niece of the bride.
The groom chose his brothers, Shane McVay of St. Louis and Mike McVay of Huntington, W.Va., as best men. Groomsmen were Randy Flath of Jackson, Joe Hennemann and Tim Holshouser of Cape Girardeau, Vade Mansker and Todd Martin of Jackson, and Kent Schott of Cape Girardeau. Ushers and candlelighters were Quentin Arnold of Marion and Dave Clark of Creal Springs, Ill., nephews of the bride, and Woody Fadler of Jackson.
Flower girls were Tayler Parish and Madison Arnold, daughters of Quentin and Chastity Arnold of Marion and nieces of the bride. Ringbearer was Tanner McVay of Huntington, nephew of the groom.
Bridgit Buchheit of Biehle, Mo., attended the guest book.
Following the ceremony, the reception was held at the Elks Lodge. Servers were Jeannie Fodge, Geri Hennemann and JoAnn Schott, aunts of the groom.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner Sept. 15 at Cedar Street.
Mrs. McVay received a bachelor of science degree in nursing from Southeast Missouri State University. She is a pharmaceutical sales representative with TAP Pharmaceuticals.
The groom is employed in the operations division of Duke Energy in French Lick, Ind.
