Amanda Diane Higgins and Brian Lee Eftink were married Aug. 12, 2000, at Eastdale Baptist Church in Montgomery, Ala. The Revs. Kevin Skogen of Chattanooga, Tenn., and Skip Dusenbury of Washington, D.C., performed the double ring ceremony. Soloist was Christina Jones of Chattanooga.

Parents of the couple are Wyman and Patricia Higgins of Montgomery, and Leon and Mary Jane Eftink of Cape Girardeau.

The bride was presented in marriage by her father.

Mark and Scott Eftink served their brother as best man and groomsman, respectively.

The bride's parents hosted the reception at the Chantilly Inn in Montgomery.

The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner Aug. 11 at Montgomery Country Club.

Mrs. Eftink received a degree in English from Auburn University in Montgomery.

The groom is a graduate of Vanderbilt University Law School in Nashville, Tenn., and passed the Georgia and Tennessee bar exams. He is an attorney with the law firm of Miller and Martin in Chattanooga.

After a wedding trip to St. Lucia, the couple resides at Lookout Mountain, Tenn.
