NEW HAMBURG, Mo. -- Nikki Suzanne Heisserer and Benjamin John Urhahn were married Aug. 5, 2000, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church. The Rev. Normand Varone performed the ceremony. Pianist was Dana Lynch of Oran, Mo., and soloists were Christy Hency of Benton, Mo., and Geoff Smith of Cape Girardeau.
Parents of the couple are Ralph and Debbie Heisserer of New Hamburg, and Tom and Clare Urhahn of Oran.
Maid of honor was Julie Kern of New Hamburg. Bridesmaids were Jamie Eftink of Oran, Gail Dirnberger of New Hamburg, and Sarah Cotner of Cape Girardeau.
Jeremy Pobst of Oran was best man. Groomsmen were Keith Urhahn of Scott City, Mo., Matt Heisserer of New Hamburg, and Scott Heisserer of Cape Girardeau. Ushers were Jeff Schaefer and Brandon Pobst of Oran.
Candlelighters were Erin Wunderlich of Frohna, Mo., and Shannon Hood of Scott City.
Flower girl was Kayla Messmer, daughter of Tracy and Cabrina Messmer of Jackson, Mo. Ringbearer was Gavin Penrose, son of Kelly Penrose of Oran.
Sandy Tilley of Oran and Jodi Pobst of Cape Girardeau attended the guest book. Program attendants were Tara Messmer and Ashley Clevenz of Burfordville, Mo.
Following the ceremony, the reception was held at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Oran.
The couple's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner Aug. 4 at the KC Hall.
Mrs. Urhahn is a 1998 graduate of Thomas W. Kelly High School at Benton. She is a hairstylist at Great Clips in Cape Girardeau.
The groom is a 1998 graduate of Oran High School. He is employed at Biokyowa Inc. in Cape Girardeau.
After a wedding trip to New Orleans, La., and Gulf Shores, Ala., the couple resides in Oran.
