JACKSON -- Immaculate Conception Catholic Church was the setting Sept. 11, 1999, for the wedding of Kristi Brooke Freese and Derrick Wayne Deneke. The Revs. Edward Eftink and Don Kuehle performed the double ring ceremony. Readers were Carrie Perez of St. Louis and Beth Dye of Jackson, Tenn.
Organist was Christy Shinn of Jackson, and soloist was Heather Weber of Southaven, Miss., sister of the groom.
Parents of the bride are Ronda and Bill Heaton and Larry and Sharon Freese, all of Jackson. The groom is the son of Wayne and Faye Deneke of Gordonville.
Maids of honor were Tara Freese of St. Louis, sister of the bride, and Carrie Blankenship of Cape Girardeau. Bridesmaids were Rachel Heaton of St. Louis and Lindsey Freese of Jackson, sisters of the bride; Heather Weber; and Nancy Ledbetter of St. Louis, cousin of the bride.
Best men were Shawn Neumeyer of Jackson, cousin of the groom, and Chris DeClue of Raleigh, N.C. Groomsmen were Jake Frogge of Kansas City, Tommy Petzoldt of Perryville, Shawn Weber of Southaven, brother-in-law of the groom; and Jason Dye of Jackson, Tenn. Ushers were Keith Cooper of St. Louis, cousin of the bride; Reagan McDowell of Jackson and Bob Knoesel of St. Louis.
Flower girl was Kaitlyn Nettleton, daughter of Brian and Jackie Nettleton of St. Louis and niece of the bride.
Candlelighters were Amanda Allmon of Columbia and Kristy Petzoldt of Jackson.
Christy Etherington and Susan Marchionda attended the guest book.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Route 25 Banquet Hall. Servers were Jan Freese, aunt of the bride; Joyce Kinder, aunt of the groom; and Patti Cooper, cousin of the bride.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner Sept. 10 at Port Cape in Cape Girardeau.
Mrs. Deneke is a 1994 graduate of Jackson High School, and 1997 graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia. She is an executive resource manager with businessolver.com.
The groom is a 1995 graduate of Jackson High School, and 1999 graduate of UM-C. He is a marketing representative with Novartis Crop Protection.
The couple is residing in DesMoines, Iowa.
