JACKSON -- Immaculate Conception Catholic Church was the setting Nov. 6, 1999, for the wedding of Tara Renee Elfrink and Aaron Scott Fischer. Msgr. Edward Eftink performed the double ring ceremony.
Organist was Catherine Martin, guitarist was Jim Keusenkothen, flutist was Jill Elder, and violinist was Maggie Martin, all of Jackson. Music was also presented by the church handbell choir. Vocalists were Karen Benefield of Jackson and Bryan Schmid of Columbia.
Readers were Melissa Guilliams of Jackson and Melanie Byington of Cape Girardeau. Offertory gifts were presented by Catherine and Loren Elfrink of Oran, aunt and uncle and godparents of the bride.
The bride is the daughter of Glenn and Brenda Elfrink of Jackson. The groom is the son of Bruce and Linda Thompson of Bedford, Texas, and James Fischer of Poplar Bluff.
Christy Brugger of Cape Girardeau was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Staci Rebert of Cape Girardeau; Sherry Bartels, Andrea Siemer, Mitzi Wiggins, all of Jackson; Amanda and Teresa Elfrink of Oran, both cousins of the bride.
Best man was Jeff Fischer of Jackson, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Dane Baker, Mark Evans, Scott Mitchell, Ron Gilmore, Rob Williams, and Mark Elfrink, brother of the bride, all of Jackson. Ushers were Greg McNeely, Mark Guilliams and Mark Masterson, all of Jackson.
Candlelighters were Michelle Wessel and Greg McNeely of Jackson.
Flower girl and ringbearer were Morene and Michael Mouser of Jackson, cousins of the bride.
Megane Slinkard of Jackson attended the guest book. Programs were handed out by Heidi Hume and Robin King of Jackson.
Following the ceremony, a reception, dinner and dance was held at the Knights of Columbus Hall. Servers were Miriam Mouser, aunt of the bride; Karen Ebenstein and Suzanna Randolph, all of Jackson.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner Nov. 5 at the Knights of Columbus Hall.
Mrs. Fischer is a 1992 graduate of Jackson High School. She received a bachelor of science degree in business administration from Southeast Missouri State University. She is a financial sales representative at Union Planters Bank in Jackson.
The groom is a 1988 graduate of Jackson High School, and attended Southeast University. He is sales manager at Fastenal Industrial Supplies Co. in Cape Girardeau.
After a wedding trip to the Hawaiian islands, the couple resides in Jackson.
