WEDDINGS: EFTINK-PFEIFER

CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Erin Renee Eftink and Bruce Alexander Pfeifer were married June 2, 2001, at St. Ambrose Catholic Church. The Rev. Ralph Duffner performed the double ring ceremony. Organist was Betty Vandevan of Chaffee. Vocalist was Kelly Byer of Cape Girardeau, cousin of the groom.

Scripture readers were LeAnn Eftink of Pacific, Mo., and Janelle Bailey of Eureka, Mo., sisters of the bride. Giftbearers were Robert and Francis Hardin of DeSoto, Mo., godparents of the groom; Marge Schwent of Fruitland, Mo., and John Eftink of Oran, Mo., godparents of the bride.

The bride is the daughter of Eugene and Jerralee Eftink of Chaffee. The groom is the son of Sterling Mark Pfeifer of Farmington, Mo., and Donna Shirrell of Jackson, Mo.

Paula Eftink of Cape Girardeau, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Gina Arnold of New Hamburg, Mo., sister of the bride; Jodi Brown of Cape Girardeau; Amanda McDaniel of Delta, Mo.; and Marianne Cook of Cape Girardeau.

Best man was Sterling Mark Pfeifer II of Ste. Genevieve, Mo., brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Mike Higgins; Kevin Richman, brother-in-law of the groom; Brian Popp and Chuck Prost, all of Cape Girardeau. Ushers were Keith Eftink of Delta, brother of the bride, and Joe Arnold of New Hamburg, brother-in-law of the bride.

Flower girls were Alyssa Davisson and Rebecca Richman, daughters of Kevin and Justine Richman and nieces of the groom.

Miniature bride was Emily Hambrick, daughter of Bob and Robynn Hambrick of Desloge, Mo., and niece of the bride.

Sandy Hutson and Kim Hinkebein attended the guest book.

Following the ceremony, the reception was held at Oran Knights of Columbus Hall. Servers were Mary McDaniel, Maria Eftink, Jan Eftink, Becky Eftink and Georgia Black.

The groom's mother and stepfather, Donna and Clarence Shirrell, hosted the rehearsal dinner June 1 at Heartland Banquet Hall in Jackson.

Mrs. Pfeifer is a graduate of Delta High School. She is pursuing a degree in human resource management at Southeast Missouri State University. She is employed at Luhr Brothers Inc.

The groom is a graduate of Notre Dame High School. He is pursuing a degree in political science at Southeast University. He is employed at Chateau Girardeau.

After a wedding trip to Playa Del Carmen and Cancun, Mexico, the couple is residing in Cape Girardeau.
