Lori Lee Eakin and Paul Douglas Nesslein were married Aug. 14, 1999, at Lynwood Baptist Church. The Rev. Mark Anderson performed the double ring ceremony. Linda Meadows of Cape Girardeau was pianist, and soloist was Theresa Givens.
The former Miss Eakin is the daughter of Jim Eakin of Cape Girardeau, and the late Brenda Eakin. Nesslein is the son of Doug and Jodi Nesslein of Cape Girardeau.
Lisa Heath of Lenexa, Kan., was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Kristi Pruitt of Osage Beach, Mo., cousin of the bride; Mandy Eakin of Poplar Bluff, Mo., sister-in-law of the bride; Susan Leimbach of Jackson, Mo., sister of the groom; Stephanie Roberts of Cape Girardeau; Christina Fields of Farmington, Mo.; and Ami Kari of Kansas City, Kan.
Best man was Scott Givens of Cape Girardeau. Groomsmen were Todd Sanders of Memphis, Tenn., cousin of the groom; Chris Eakin of Poplar Bluff, brother of the bride; Andrew Harrison and Eric Sutton of Fayetteville, Ark.; Jeff Riggins of Dallas, Texas; and Scott Colten of New York City. Ushers were Boyd Crockett of Kansas City, Mark Wyrosdick of Swansea, Ill., Bob Levy of Cape Girardeau, and Chad Francis of Jackson.
Candlelighters were Juli and Amy Webster, daughters of Warren and Linda Webster of Belleville, Ill., and cousins of the bride.
Miniature bride was Brianne Dixon, daughter of Michelle Dixon of Collinsville, Ill., and cousin of the bride. Miniature groom was Grady Leimbach, son of Steven and Susan Leimbach of Jackson and nephew of the groom.
Flower girl was Bayleigh Sanders of Memphis, Tenn., daughter of Phil Sanders and cousin of the groom. Ringbearer was Tyler Eakin of Demotte, Ind., son of Chris Eakin and nephew of the bride.
Gail Hoffman attended the guest book.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Elks Lodge. Servers were Nellie, Robin and Tracy Sanders, and Tricia Williams.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner Aug. 13 at their home.
Mrs. Nesslein received a bachelor of arts degree in biology, and a medical degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine. She completed her residency in pediatrics at The Children's Mercy Hospital. She will do fellowship training in neonatology at The Children's Hospital Medical Center of Cincinnati, Ohio.
The groom received a bachelor of science degree in industrial technology education at Southeast Missouri State University. He is pursuing a master's degree in architecture at Miami University of Ohio.
The couple is residing in Cincinnati.
