Stephanie Jo Bell and Jay Thomas Stencel were married Nov. 26, 1999, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. The Rev. Dan Schulte performed the double ring ceremony. Organist was Lenny Kuper, flutist was Paul Thompson, and vocalists were Alan Bruns and Cheryl Oberhaus, all of Cape Girardeau.

Parents of the couple are William J. and Marilyn Bell of Cape Girardeau and Jerry and Kathy Stencel of Waseca, Minn.

The bride was escorted by her father and also her grandfather, Russell Bell of Cape Girardeau.

Maids of honor were Jennifer Bell, twin sister of the bride, and Jenni Peters, both of Nashville, Tenn. Bridesmaids were Teresa Stencel of Waseca, sister of the groom; Diana Lattimore of Memphis, Tenn.; Kelly Hernandez of Lebanon, Tenn.; and Kathryn Cox of Atlanta, Ga., cousin of the bride.

Todd Stencel of Waseca served his brother as best man. Groomsmen were Jeff Bray of Nashville; Darren Bell of Jackson, Mo., brother of the bride; Keith Hein of Nashville; and Cory McColley of Waldorf, Minn. Ushers were Todd Lienke of Pemberton, Minn., and Josh Rigor of Chicago, cousin of the bride.

Flower girl was Shanna Stencel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Todd Stencel and niece of the groom. Ringbearer was Andrew Bell, son of Mr. and Mrs. Darren Bell of Jackson and nephew of the bride.

Candlelighters were Alicia Bell of Cape Girardeau, cousin of the bride, and Heather Wingen of Mapleton, Minn., cousin of the groom.

Mass servers were Cody and Devin Bell of Cape Girardeau, cousins of the bride. Readers were Denise Bell of Jackson, sister-in-law of the bride, and Sarah Stencel of Waseca, sister-in-law of the groom.

Eucharistic ministers were Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Wingen of Fort Worth, Texas, uncle and aunt of the groom. Giftbearers were Chuck Bell of Cape Girardeau, godfather of the bride; Nancy Cox of Atlanta, aunt and godmother of the bride; and Connie O'Brien of San Francisco, Calif., godmother of the groom.

Program attendants were Travis Bell of Cape Girardeau, cousin of the bride, and Bethany Stencel of Waseca, niece of the groom.

Following the ceremony, a dinner and dance was held at St. Vincent's Parish Center. A reception was held Dec. 26 at the Waldorf Community Center.

The couple's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner Nov. 25 at the home of the bride's parents.

Mrs. Stencel received a bachelor of science degree in occupational therapy from Tennessee State University in 1998. She is employed at Tennessee Christian Medical Center.

The groom received a bachelor of science degree in environmental engineering from the University of Minnesota in 1997, and a master's degree in environmental engineering from Vanderbilt University in 1999. He is employed by Consolidated Technologies Inc. in Nashville.

The couple resides in Hermitage, Tenn.
