BENTON, Mo. -- Elizabeth Fay Beardslee and Michael John Leible were married July 1, 2000, at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso, Mo. The Rev. Oliver Clavin performed the double ring ceremony. Organist was Betty Ressel of Kelso. Vocalists were Renee Reinagel of Kelso and Adam Cox of Cape Girardeau. Lectors were Donna Lynn of Columbia, Mo., and Linda Finchum of Tucson, Ariz., cousin of the groom.
Parents of the couple are Tom and Janice Beardslee of Benton, and George and Georgia Leible of Chaffee, Mo.
Chris Beardslee of Cape Girardeau was her sister's maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Gina Essner of Benton, Trisha Emmons of Kelso, Jaime Howell of Scott City, Mo., and Emily Shanks of Sikeston, Mo.
The groom chose his brother, Tom Leible of Jackson, as best man. Groomsmen were Bobby Ressel of Kelso; Danny Leible of Kelso, brother of the groom; Chris Bucher of St. Louis; and Dennis Trickey of Cape Girardeau, brother-in-law of the groom. Ushers were Michael Beardslee of Cape Girardeau, cousin of the bride, and Scot Enderle of Chaffee, cousin of the groom.
Flower girl and ringbearer were Mollie and Andrew Leible, niece and nephew of the groom. They are the children of Danny and Dwana Leible.
Candlelighters were Shannon Hubbert of Benton, and Natalie Leible of Kelso, niece of the groom.
Jennifer Glastetter of Scott City attended the guest book. Program attendant was Katie Beardslee, daughter of Tim and Jackie Beardslee of St. Charles, Mo., and cousin of the bride.
Following the ceremony, the reception was held at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Scott City. Servers were Carolyn Mills of Chaffee; Nikki Leimbach of Kelso, cousin of the groom; and Harriet Davis of Harrisburg, Ill., cousin of the bride.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner June 30 at St. Augustine gym.
Mrs. Leible received a degree in education from Southeast Missouri State University in 1999. She is a fourth grade teacher in the Dunklin R-5 School District at Herculaneum, Mo.
The groom received a degree in engineering from the University of Missouri at Columbia in 1998. He is a project engineer with Trane Co. in St. Louis.
The couple is residing in Arnold, Mo.
