MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Mary Susan VanGennip and Andrew William Siebert were married May 12, 2001, at St. John's Catholic Church in Leopold, Mo. The Rev. Bill Huggins performed the ceremony. Organist was Mary Jansen of Leopold. Guitarist was Terrie Rose and soloist was Eva Dunn of Marble Hill, cousins of the bride.
Reader was Amy Young of Cape Girardeau, sister of the groom. Altar servers were Matthew and Francee VanGennip of Marble Hill, nephew and niece of the bride. Giftbearers were Jim and Shirley Boyle of St. Charles, Mo., uncle and aunt of the groom.
The bride is the daughter of Frances VanGennip of Marble Hill, and the late John A. VanGennip. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Siebert of Cape Girardeau.
Matron of honor was Norma VanGennip of Oran, Mo., sister of the bride. Bridesmaid was Shirley Preusser of Jackson, Mo., sister of the bride. Junior bridesmaids were Marissa VanGennip, niece of the bride, and Brooke Sitze, both of Marble Hill and goddaughters of the bride.
Don Reinagel of Kelso, Mo., was best man. Groomsman was Larry Bohning of Winter Haven, Fla. Ushers were Travis Siebert of Jackson and Stephen Siebert of Columbia, Mo., nephews of the groom.
Guest book attendant was Kelly Schwartz of High Ridge, Mo., niece of the groom.
Following the ceremony, the reception was held at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Jackson. Servers were Vonda VanGennip of Advance, Mo., sister-in-law of the bride; Barb Schwartz of High Ridge, sister of the groom; and Katie Schwartz of High Ridge, niece of the groom.
The bride and groom hosted the rehearsal dinner May 11 at Sophia's House Bed and Breakfast in Leopold.
Mrs. Siebert is a graduate of Woodland High School and Southeast Missouri State University. She is employed in the telecommunications department at the university.
The groom is a graduate of Southeast University. He is employed by SBC Services Inc.
After a wedding trip to Hawaii, the couple resides in Cape Girardeau.
