CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Chaffee General Baptist Church was the setting April 22, 2000, for the wedding of Tonya Ruth Ann Thompson and Bobby Dale Schrum Jr. The Rev. Joe Payne performed the double ring ceremony. Soloist was Adrian True of Jackson, Mo.
Parents of the couple are Dennis and Stephanie Thompson and Bobby and Anita Schrum, all of Chaffee.
Brandi Dannenmueller of Scott City, Mo., was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Michelle Keesee of Scott City, Kim Foulk of Chaffee, and Kerri Lowell of Cape Girardeau, cousin of the bride.
The groom chose his brother, Stephen Schrum of Chaffee, as best man. Groomsmen were Dean Foulk and Eric Hanselman of Chaffee, and Denny Thompson of Cape Girardeau, brother of the bride. Ushers were Jason Chapman and Chris Wilburn of Chaffee.
Miniature bride and groom were Caleia and Challis Flannigan, children of Don and Misty Flannigan of Dahlgren, Ill., and cousins of the bride.
Flower girl was Stevie Schrum, daughter of Stephen and Shelley Schrum of Chaffee and niece of the groom.
Candlelighters were Thomas Schrum, son of Tammy Schrum of Chaffee and cousin of the groom; Kelley Hicks, daughter of Sandy DeProw of Scott City and cousin of the bride; and Chadlee Flannigan, son of Don and Misty Flannigan and cousin of the bride.
Kristy Wilson of Camden, Ill., cousin of the groom, attended the guest book.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the American Legion Hall. Servers were Glinda Seabaugh of Cape Girardeau and Sandy DeProw, aunts of the bride.
The bride's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner April 21 at the church fellowship hall.
Mrs. Schrum is a 1994 graduate of Scott City High School. She received a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from Southeast Missouri State University, and is pursuing a master's degree in criminal justice. She is a child psychiatric care supervisor at Cottonwood Residential Treatment Center.
The groom attended Chaffee High School. He is employed at Plaza Tire Service.
After a wedding trip to Cancun, Mexico, the couple resides in Scott City.
