JACKSON, Mo. -- Rachel Ann Schubert and Jerry Robert Broshuis were united in marriage Feb. 24, 2001, at St. Paul Lutheran Church. The Revs. David Johnson and John Schubert, brother of the bride, performed the double ring ceremony. Organist was Lois Fehrmann of Jackson; soloists were Bill Bonney and Tim Mirly of Jackson, Joy Schubert of Chandler, Ariz., sister-in-law of the bride; and flutist was Anna Bonney of Jackson.
The bride is the daughter of Richard and Audrey Schubert of Jackson. The groom is the son of Robert Broshuis of Hiram, Mo., and Gloria Lunsford of Cape Girardeau.
Matron of honor was Joy Schubert. Bridesmaids were Renee Wachter of Russellville, Ark., Anita Claridge of San Antonio, Texas, Andrea Schubert of Jackson, all sisters of the bride; and Lisa Mirly of Jackson.
Matt Looney of Perryville, Mo., was best man. Groomsmen were Chad Lutes of Silva, Mo.; Travis Sargent of Cape Girardeau; Jacob Schubert of Steeleville, Ill., brother of the bride; and Matt Schulz of Las Vegas, Nev. Ushers were Eric and Clay Broshuis of Marble Hill, Mo., cousins of the groom; Jerome Wachter of Russellville and Jeff Claridge of San Antonio, brothers-in-law of the bride.
Junior bride was Morgan Wachter, daughter of Jerome and Renee Wachter and niece of the bride. Junior groom was Ethan Mirly, son of Tim and Lisa Mirly.
Candlelighters were Jeff Claridge and Clay Broshuis.
Flower girl was Grace Mirly, daughter of Tim and Lisa Mirly of Jackson. Ringbearer was Landon Johnson, son of Brian and Angela Johnson of Marble Hill and cousin of the groom. Bell ringer was Morgan Thompson, daughter of Leif and Kindle Thompson of Cape Girardeau.
Staci Friese of Cape Girardeau attended the guest book. Programs were handed out by Neil Johnson of Marble Hill.
Following the ceremony, the reception was held at the Knights of Columbus Hall. Servers were Kathy Schlimpert and Mary Schlimpert of Altenburg, Mo., aunts of the bride; Carol Lincoln and Nelda Broshuis of Marble Hill, aunts of the groom.
The bride and groom hosted the rehearsal dinner Feb. 23 at the KC Hall.
Mrs. Broshuis is a 1995 graduate of Jackson High School. She is employed at Wal-Mart Supercenter in Cape Girardeau.
The groom received a bachelor's degree from Southeast Missouri State University in 1998. He is employed at Wal-Mart Supercenter in Jackson.
The couple resides in Jackson.
