JACKSON, Mo. -- Sarah Elizabeth Ruopp and Steven Glen DeClue were married June 9, 2001, at Enchanted Gardens. Phil Curran performed the ceremony. Soloist was Amy Brown of Cape Girardeau.
The bride is the daughter of Kathleen Riggs-Ruopp of San Diego, Calif., and the late Timothy J. Ruopp. The groom is the son of Joe and Susan DeClue of Jackson.
Maid of honor was Regina Ruebel of Cape Girardeau. Bridesmaids were Susan Giles of Cape Girardeau; Hannah Robusto of San Diego and Rebekah Miller of Scott City, Mo., both sisters of the bride.
Ryan Parenteau of Cape Girardeau served the groom as best man. Groomsmen were Stan Miller of St. Louis, brother of the groom; Brian Cartwright of Cape Girardeau; Scott Vierling of St. Louis; and Nathan Ruopp of Springfield, Mo., brother of the bride.
Flower girl was Kayla Miller, niece of the bride. Ringbearer was Preston Miller, nephew of the bride and godson of the bride and groom.
Donna Miller of St. Louis, sister-in-law of the groom, attended the guest book.
The reception was also held at Enchanted Gardens. Servers were Tami Baker of House Springs, Mo., aunt of the groom; Nancy Matthews of San Diego, Vicki Hallam of Gilbert, Ariz., and Sally Diggs of Bermuda Dunes, Calif., aunts of the bride.
Michael and Peggy Riggs, uncle and aunt of the bride, hosted the rehearsal dinner June 8 at their home.
Mrs. DeClue is a graduate of Central High School, and received a bachelor of science degree in elementary education from Southeast Missouri State University in 1999. She is a fifth grade teacher at Kelly Elementary School in Benton, Mo.
The groom is a graduate of Jackson High School. He is employed at Nordenia USA Inc.
The couple resides in Jackson.
