CHAFFEE, Mo. -- St. Ambrose Catholic Church was the setting Oct. 28, 2000, for the wedding of Amy Elizabeth Quade and Richard Lloyd Swain. The Rev. Ralph Duffner performed the double ring ceremony. Organist was Brenda Kuhn of Chaffee and soloist was Marti Sutton of Jackson, Mo.
Parents of the bride are Larry and Susan Quade of Chaffee. The groom is the son of Jane Swain and Mike and Alice Swain, all of Chaffee.
Julie Needham of Nixa, Mo., cousin of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Heather Elfrink of Leopold, Mo., Angela McDaniel of Delta, Mo., Nicki Beshears of Russellville, Mo., and Melinda Gilpin of Benton, Mo.
Best man was Eric Hanselman of Chaffee. Groomsmen were Phillip Wilhite and Tony Swain, brother of the groom, both of Chaffee, Jordan Needham III of Nixa and Rob Carr of Cape Girardeau, cousins of the bride. Ushers were Corey Adkisson and Joey Carr of Cape Girardeau, cousins of the bride, and Aaron Glastetter of Chaffee, stepbrother of the groom.
Candlelighters were Jennifer Finley of Chaffee and Rebecca Trankler of Oran, Mo., cousins of the groom.
Flower girls were Stevie Schrum and Paige Westrich. Ringbearer was Cody Trankler. Stevie is the daughter of Stephen and Shelly Schrum of Chaffee. Paige is the daughter of Tina Westrich of Oran and Jason Westrich of New Hamburg, and cousin of the groom. Cody is the son of Janice Trankler of Oran and cousin of the groom.
Lana Atkins attended the guest book. Programs were handed out by Myra Hester, cousin of the bride.
Following the ceremony, the reception, dinner and dance was held at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Jackson. Servers were Karen Carr and Joyce Needham, aunts of the bride, and Judy Finley and Peggy Lape, aunts of the groom.
The groom's father and stepmother hosted the rehearsal dinner Oct. 27 at the Knights of Columbus Hall.
Mrs. Swain is a 1994 graduate of Delta High School. She received a bachelor of science degree in nursing from Southeast Missouri State University in 2000. She is a registered nurse with State of Missouri at Disability Determination in Cape Girardeau.
The groom is a 1995 graduate of Chaffee High School. He received certification in heating and refrigeration from Cape Girardeau Career and Technology Center. He is employed by Obermann and Son Inc. in Jackson.
The couple resides in Jackson.
