St. Andrew Lutheran Church was the setting July 1, 2000, for the wedding of Julie Renee Middleton and Micah Paul Janzow. The Rev. Ted Janzow performed the double ring ceremony. Diane Daume was organist; Frank Janzow, uncle of the groom, played acoustic guitar and sang; and the groom's father also sang.
Michael and Janna Middleton of Metropolis, Ill., are parents of the bride. The groom is the son of Fred and Susan Janzow of Cape Girardeau.
Maid of honor was Laura Middleton of Metropolis, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Emily Blackburn of St. Louis and Renae Thomas of Sikeston, Mo.
Matthew Janzow of Suffolk, Va., was his brother's best man. Groomsmen were Marcus Janzow, brother of the groom, and Dan Byrd, both of St. Louis. Ushers were Tyler Downs of Euless, Texas; Chris Taylor of Jackson; Seth Middleton of Metropolis, brother of the bride; and Bryan Altenthal of Cape Girardeau.
Candlelighters were Seth Middleton and Bryan Altenthal.
Melissa Janzow of Suffolk, sister-in-law of the bride, attended the guest book.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Knights of Columbus Hall. Servers were Cindy Middleton of Metropolis and Jeanne Carr of Brookport, Ill., aunts of the bride.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner June 30 at the Show Me Center.
Mrs. Janzow is a 1995 graduate of Massac County High School. She received a bachelor of science degree in secondary education/unified science from Southeast Missouri State University in 2000. She is employed in the science department at Central High School.
The groom is a 1994 graduate of Central High School. He received a bachelor of science degree in secondary education/unified science at Southeast in 2000. He is employed in the science department at Central Junior High School.
After a wedding trip to Jamaica, the couple resides in Cape Girardeau.
