SCOTT CITY -- Illmo Baptist Church was the setting Nov. 20, 1999, for the wedding of Erin Beth Griffin and Christopher Ray Venable. The Revs. Neil Franks and Larry Lawman performed the double ring ceremony. Pianist was Evelyn McClintock and vocalists were Brent and Christy Horton, all of Scott City.

Jim and Johnne Griffin of Scott City are parents of the bride. The groom is the son of Donna Fusilier of Scott City and Jim Mayberry of Biloxi, Miss.

Gina Bellis of Scott City was her sister's honor attendant. Bridesmaids were Tina Heisserer of Benton, Bonnie Walker of Scott City, Beth Uelsmann of Benton, Christy Riley, Julie Adams and Rozz Venable, all of Scott City, and Anne Branscum of Jackson.

The groom chose his brother, Matt Venable of Scott City, as best man. Groomsmen were Jim and Jared Griffin of Scott City, Kyle Held of Kelso, Michael Riley and Stephen O'Brien of Scott City, Dennis Thompson of Cape Girardeau, and Eric Workman. Ushers were Lance Miller of Scott City, Jeremy Mabrey of Cape Girardeau, Michael Workman of Scott City, and David Bertrand of Cape Girardeau.

Candlelighters were Julie Griggs and Chelsea Oliver.

Flower girl was Macey Shively of Benton. Ringbearer was Logan Hennecke of Cape Girardeau.

Amanda Raines of Scott City attended the guest book.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Kelso Knights of Columbus Hall. Servers were Teresa Keller of Scott City and Amanda Raines.

Mrs. Venable is pursuing a degree in veterinary medicine. She is employed at Scott City Animal Clinic.

The groom received a bachelor's degree in criminal justice. He is office manager at Barr Plastering.

After a wedding trip to Disney World, the couple resides in Scott City.
