Rachel Suzanne Watkins and Jason Paul Meystedt were married June 4, 2011, at First Baptist Church in Jackson. Chad Bles of Terra Nova Church in Sikeston, Mo., performed the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of David and Kathy Watkins of Oran, Mo. The groom is the son of Lisa and Barry Scroggins of Jackson and Jeff and Amanda Meystedt of Oran.
Maids of honor were Carmen Duncan of Oran and Kelsey Ulrich of Cape Girardeau. Bridesmaids were Heather Watkins of Benton, Mo., sister-in-law of the bride; Leah Wheeler of Essex, Mo., Mandi Wood of Oran, Madelynn Thomas of Columbia, Mo., and Kara Gendron of Jackson.
Blake Ulrich of Cape Girardeau was best man. Groomsmen were Chad Scroggins of Jackson, brother of the groom; Ethan Watkins of Benton, brother of the bride; Cody Rouse of Jackson, Tyler Sprandel of Johnson City, Tenn., Zach Brazer and Justin Glenn of Jackson. Ushers were Trey Busch and Justin Glenn of Jackson.
Flower girls were Addison Ulrich, Presley and Ella Walk, all nieces of the bride. Addison is the daughter of Blake and Kelsey Ulrich. Presley and Ella are daughters of Nathan and Jannette Walk.
The reception was held at Plaza Conference Center in Cape Girardeau.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner June 3 at Delmonico's in Jackson.
Mrs. Meystedt is a 2006 graduate of Scott City High School. She received a bachelor's degree from the University of Missouri School of Journalism. She is a third-year law student at the University of Missouri School of Law. She is a teaching assistant at the university, and a law clerk at Van Matre, Harrison, Hollis and Taylor, P.C., in Columbia.
The groom is a 2005 graduate of Jackson High School. He is pursuing a bachelor's degree in business administration from Columbia College. He is sales and operations manager at Centurion Stone Inc. in Columbia.
After a wedding trip to Riviera Maya, Mexico, the couple is residing in Columbia.
