DEXTER -- Cortney Wagner and Kendal Heuer were married June 5, 1999, at First Presbyterian Church in Cape Girardeau. The Rev. Joel Whiteside performed the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Robin Bullock of Mt. Vernon, Ill. The groom is the son of Lynn Hassell of Dexter and Ken and Malinda Heuer of Springfield.
Maid of honor was Ali Bullock of Mt. Vernon, sister of the bride. Matron of honor was Jeanie Bess of Cape Girardeau.
Best men were Mitch Kinder of Cape Girardeau, brother of the groom, and Chris Murphy of Columbus, Ohio.
Flower girl was Olivia Bess of Cape Girardeau, goddaughter of the bride and groom.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Holiday Inn in Cape Girardeau. Hostesses were Kristen Prosser of Springfield, Michelle Polly-Murphy of Columbus, and Charlotte Edwards of Cape Girardeau, aunt of the groom.
Mrs. Heuer is a graduate of Woodlawn High School and Southeast Missouri State University, and is pursuing a master's degree in social work. She is a social worker in children's mental health.
The groom is a graduate of Dexter High School and Southwest Missouri State University. He is an agent with State Farm Insurance.
After a wedding trip to Cancun, Mexico, the couple is residing in Clinton.
